Lingerie Guide
Lingerie is often the most under-rated part of your wardrobe. It plays a very important role towards making you feel comfortable and look sexy. This guide helps you get the right lingerie:
The key lingerie styles are:
Chemise This straight gown skims your body.
Negligee This is a loose and sheer gown.
Peignoir set This is a negligee with a matching robe.
Baby-doll This is a short gown fitted around the bust and flared around the hemline.
Bustier this strapless and elongated bra provides some extra lifts to your breasts.
Teddy This is one-piece lingerie, very similar to a bodysuit.
Thong This panty covers the front with a thin strap at the back.
Tips to select the right lingerie:
The most important thing in lingerie is the fitting. Make sure it fits perfectly and is comfortable. Never buy a bra before trying. Wear your top over it to see if that is the look, you want. Do not shy away from asking the salesperson about the size if you are not sure.
Get the sexy look with push-up bras if you are wearing low necklines.
Full cups with under-wires are the best lingerie for large-busted women. You can also use minimisers to reduce the bust line (that is, if you want to!).
To get the full busted look, use padded or push-up bras.
There is different lingerie for different occasions. For casual wear, go for comfy cotton styles, and lace and silk make up the sexy, dressed to kill look.
Make sure your bra does not show (unless you want it to!). Wear nude coloured bras with light tops, seamless ones with tight tops, blacks with dark tops and strapless ones with tubes and halters. Transparent straps may not be a good idea with all dresses.
Make sure your panty lines do not show. Go for super-smooth panties or thongs for fitted bottoms.
Tip: Get lingerie that is comfortable and fits right. You should have a variety for different kinds of dresses (and different occasions!)
