Remember, if the processor is too heavy, it will be less flexible and less likely to be taken out of storage and used.
Design: Make sure that the container is detachable and convenient to handle. When you put it back on, make sure that it is secure. Food processors are handy kitchen appliances that come in a lot of use, so make sure that you are comfortable with what you buy, before you buy it.
Operating controls: Choose units that have controls in front of the machine that are easy to distinguish and securely attached.
Safety: Make sure that it is safe to use, easy to detach and clean, and check that the parts are safe for dishwashers.
Features: Food processors come with a variety of options and extra features such as juicing functions, mini bowls, feed chutes, speed variability, pulsing function and blade reversibility.
It is important to keep your requirements in mind. Food processors are extremely useful if you regularly cook for a group of people. What are your capacity requirements? 2- or 7-c bowls is large enough for families and the occasional get-together. However, if you regularly cook for large groups of people, go for a larger size.
Tip: Make certain that you have sufficient storage space for a food processor. With extra discs and bowls, a food processor can be quite large and bulky. Evaluate your requirement for a food processor and accordingly decide about the capacity you want.
